Sheesh! Here's another "you learn something new everyday". Our $50 laser printer, which is quit good actually, recently ran out of toner. Pricing replacement toner, it would have been almost as cheap to buy a new printer. Of course, new printers come with 'standard' 3,000 page toner cartridges. So, I looked into refilling this one. What I found out amazed, but didn't surprise me. The difference between 'standard' 3,000 page and 'high-capacity' 6,000 page cartridges is a total scam. Besides the price difference, the physical cartridges are the same and the difference in the amount of toner in them can be as little as 50 grams. The real scam is that many have a tiny micro-chip in them that literally limits your cartridge to continue at normal speeds after you have used the designated capacity. This is regardless of the true state of the toner in the cartridge. For $15, I bought 200 grams of toner, enough for at least 6,000 pages, and a high capacity chip. It took me less than five minutes to refill the toner and replace the chip. I bought my kit at dubber-toner.com (via eBay). I suggest you consider doing the same.

I guess Sophia's critique is fairly clear.

¡Feliz Pascua!

Since we haven't been able to go to the dog park lately, I figured I'd bring the park to us.
You could fly too if you had ears like her. Please excuse the cheesy editing and music track, I was bored.

Last night, after Sophia went bed, she started crying. This wasn't anything unusual, but what we discovered when we checked on her was. Sophia was standing in the middle of her crib staring right back at us. She had pulled herself up completely in her own.
As you can see from the pictures, Sophia is well on her way to walking. In fact, she is able to stand completely on her own next to any table or wall. She has even begun practicing walking on her own.

As you can see, she's also working on figuring out the child safety latches on the cabinets. I'm so happy we have a smart daughter.
